What began in the mid-1970s as a small shed owned by husband and wife Max and Nola Maclean, who stored various building supplies for their own building ventures, quickly became something more in 1980, when locals began to approach them to purchase various items.

It was then that that Max Maclean & Co was established as a fully-stocked hardware and building supplies company, with continual expansions resulting in the undercover hardware and timber yard now spanning over 2,500 square metres.

Following Max’s passing in 2013, the family owned and operated company was inherited by his children Ross and Helen, who have continued to build its reputation as one of the area’s leading providers of quality hardware and building supplies, servicing local builders, tradespeople, home renovators and DIY enthusiasts in Corowa, Rutherglen, Howlong and the surrounding districts.

Located on the Murray River in Corowa, New South Wales, between Albury-Wodonga and Yarrawonga-Mulwala, Max Maclean & Co pride themselves on their exceptional customer service, which is delivered by nine helpful and experienced staff members.

Enjoying an ongoing presence in the community, continuing to support many local schools, sporting clubs and not-for-profit organisations, Max Maclean & Co has also been a proud member of the 600-strong, Australia-wide HBT buying group since 2001.
